Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Vivahop (“we”, “us”) handles personal data when you use our website and app. We are committed to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who we are (data controller)

2. What data we collect

• Information you give us — e.g. contact details and the trip details you enter (destinations, dates, travel party including children’s ages).
• Usage data — how you interact with the app, so we can improve the product. On this website, with your permission, we send custom interaction events (such as clicks to start planning) through platform-injected Umami. On the published website, when Publishing analytics is enabled and the site has been republished, the hosting platform also records automatic pageviews independently of our consent banner. The banner does not stop those platform pageviews. If you consent, we also load Google Analytics 4 for website measurement. • Technical data — device, browser and approximate location derived from your IP address.

3. Why we use it (lawful bases)

• To provide the service you request (performance of a contract).
• To improve and secure our products (legitimate interests).
• For optional custom interaction events and Google Analytics cookies, on the basis of your consent — which you can withdraw at any time. Platform automatic pageviews, when enabled, are not controlled by this consent choice.

4. Sharing & processors

We share data with service providers who process it on our behalf — for example hosting (including platform analytics when enabled) and mapping/places data providers, and — only after your optional analytics consent — Google as our GA processor. We don’t sell your data.

5. International transfers

Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).

6. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, and to object to certain processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority — in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens. To exercise your rights, email hello@vivahop.com.
